RUBY BETTIS'S BIOGRAPHY
Hi! My name is Ruby and I’m 14 years old. I’ve been cheerleading since 2019 when I decided to switch from gymnastics to cheer due to my love of tumbling and wanting to be part of a team sport.
I was part of a small local team to begin with but in September 2022 I decided to tryout for Angels Dance Academy’s cheerleading teams because they had a higher level of training available meaning I could be pushed to the next level. I was successful in my try out and gained a place on a level 3 and level 4 team called Halo and Force – higher level than I had ever competed before! |
After a couple of months at ADA I decided to take a leap and tryout for Team England Adapted Abilities Advanced (a team comprising of abled bodied and disabled athletes) and I successfully gained a spot as a flyer and a tumbler and will be competing at the World Championships in Florida USA in April 2023.
Thank you so much to CASS & Friends for the support and helping me in my journey. I am really looking forward for the first competitions of the season with ADA and representing my country at worlds with Team England AAA. |
