ROWAN'S BIOGRAPHY

Hi, my name is Rowan and I am 16 years old. I have loved water sports since I was young, first sailing in Frampton Upon Severn Sailing Club and then rowing at Gloucester Rowing Club. I was so keen I started rowing at 11, even though I was too young, but it was too hard. When I turned 13 I decided that I needed a break and took 2 years out, so that my body could catch up. I returned to rowing at 15 and have been training ever since. 2020 has been one of the weirdest years of my life as I had a full program of races lined up, but as a result of Covid the whole season was cancelled. I continued land-based training during lockdown and returned to the water in June.

Since then I have won the Most Promising Rower Award at the club, and am looking forward to start racing again in the near future..
My ambition is to go to Hartpury College in September as part of their rowing team; working towards the national rowing team. This support for Cass & Friends will greatly help in allowing me to go to all the rowing camps and races possible. It will also massively help when winter comes, because of all the clothes I will need to buy to continue training through the winter. Thanks so very much for the support CASS & Friends.
