MITCHELL'S BIOGRAPHY
My name is Mitchell Leeming, I have been playing darts in local teams in Evesham since I was 13.
During that year I won the asum league of darts singles and I won that again this year aged 16 beating a bdo player. I am also in the finals of 3 other competitions which I am confident in winning all three. When I was 14, I joined the JDC (Junior Darts Corporation) where I attend an academy every Thursday at Worcester and from this, I qualified for the world championship last year in Bristol. I came last 16 in the European open and last 32 in the world. This year I have qualified for the world championships in Gibraltar. Every month they put on tours which I attend which are all over the country with my best performance coming in Manchester reaching the final. |
I am in the top 15 in the tour order of merit and the top 10 in the academy order of merit. I also started playing for the under 18’s at Oxfordshire county youth. Gaining two man of the matches in two games winning both 3-0.
I am extremely grateful for CASS & Friends for taking me on as an athlete and supporting me on my journey. As you can see it involves a lot of travelling and the money helping relieve some of the stress that comes with this cost. I look forward to earning more trophies and prize money and I’m sure CASS & Friends support will help me reach my goal which is eventually going pro. Along with a short-term goal of being in the top 3 players in the tour order of merit to earn a scholarship. |
