MAX HIND'S BIOGRAPHY
I got my first road bike when I was 10. I raced for local Worcestershire Wyre Forest CRC from 2017 in the Under 10’s, on various closed circuit around the West Midlands. My passion for racing grew more and more for racing and continued racing with Wyre Forest through the U12’s, also racing a few National support races. I then completed in the National Youth Road series and after 7 rounds in 2021 I took the National Youth Road Series.
In 2022 I changed teams to give me more opportunities. The Team was Evolution Racing Academy (ERA), which was based in South Wales. For 2022, I was also selected for the BC Regional School of Racing. 2023 has been my biggest year in my racing diary to date, I had been selected for the BC National School for Racing. I managed to secure 2 National overall wins for ERA and was fortunate to be selected by British Cycling to represent TeamGB at the European Youth Olympics in Slovenia. This was such an awesome experience traveling with TeamGB, mixing with so many different athletes from so many different countries. Up to this point I’d never been abroad or been on a plane. The 11days are full of so many great memories. . |
I managed to secure a 6th in the Time Trial and then unbelievably took Gold in the Road Race.
This year has been totally full on. Training is 6days a week, varying up to 20 hours a week. Mostly on bike with about 2-3 gym work. I was approached and given the opportunity to race for Fensham Howes Junior Race Team for 2024 & 2025 The team is based in Leeds and run by Giles Pidcock. This gives me the opportunity to race on the continent – Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy etc. In February I was also selected for GBCT – Olympic Development Squad, which really is full on with training camps every month at Manchester Velodrome. I have just returned this week after racing with GBCT in France, great to have the opportunity again and such a privilege to put on the Jersey and represent your country. I really appreciate the support CASS and friends are providing for me to further my dreams. |
