LUCY'S BIOGRAPHY
My name is Lucy Hepburn, I am 15 years old and I am a training player for Oxford United Women’s First team. I have been playing academy football for 4 years and this is my first season training with the first team at Oxford. I have now been accepted at Hartpury college in September to not only do my education but to do my football programme there as well which I am really looking forward to. I will be also doing my hip rehabilitation programme at Hartpury college to help me get back to full fitness as quickly as possible. I started playing football when I was 7 years old and grew up in a rural village. I looked up to my older brother Jordan a lot when it came to football and I have aspired to be as good as him. When I scored my first ever goal I instantly fell in love with the game. My training now is a lot more intense and specific. I train twice a week with Oxford and match days are Sunday’s where I get loaned out to Cheltenham town ladies. Training sessions are normally 2 hours long with sport specific drills and a lot of fitness work to go along with it all!

Last season wasn’t the best season for me as I had a lot of injuries which kept me out of the game for a while. I injured my hip back in February and I have only just been allowed to return to play gradually. Football isn’t as easy as it seems and I have definitely experienced that through challenges that I have faced last season with injury. This season I am aiming to stay and keep fit and to stay injury free for the whole season. I look forward to what the future holds with my football and I know that CASS & Friends will be a massive contribution to helping me not only develop as a player but also a person. CASS & Friends will help my family and I to help pay for travel expenses and any training/equipment required for me to be at the top of my game.
