LEXI GROVE'S BIOGRAPHY
Hi my name is Lexi, I am 13 years old, and I am an Tumbler. My journey started as an artistic gymnast at a local club when I was 6, however I wanted to try tumbling and liked it more. In 2019 I trialled at a top tumbling club in Birmingham, and I was accepted into their Regional Competition Squad, where I have thrived. Over Lockdown we conditioned at home via zoom a few times a week to keep ourselves strong and motivated. This year has been a busy one with the West Midlands Squad Training, and plenty of competitions, my biggest being where I won Bronze in the English Silver Tumbling Competition Level 4, and Bronze in the Inter Regional Competition Level 4. I am now training towards 2023 and moving into Elite FIG Tumbling. I would love to represent my country one day in tumbling.

My 2023 year was both totally amazing and highly catastrophic. I had a great year in competitions and won my biggest competition at the Utilitia Arena in Birmingham becoming National Champion. Then in November I broke and dislocated my neck in training and received emergency surgery to repair it. This put me out of sport for a while. Since then I had to stop tumbling, and I have found a new love in Rowing. I completed a Learn to Row course in May, and have since then moved into the Junior Squad at my club, where I row in doubles, quads, and also 8's, and am working hard to improve my technique and fitness ready for the 2025 season and races. Thankyou to CASS & Friends for continuing to support me, in my brand new sport.
