HARRIET BRAY'S BIOGRAPHY
Hi, my name is Harriet Bray, and I am a 16 year old rower for Hartpury College. I started rowing in the summer of 2021, where I rowed for a small club in Tewksbury.
I had a very successful first year, from winning medals at local regattas to winning British Rowing Junior Championships in a WJ14 2x . This year was the start of my love for rowing. Last year I decided that it was time for me to step up my training and had to make the tough decision to move clubs. I started training at Hartpury as part of their racer program and haven’t looked back since! |
Over this past season, I have mainly competed in quads, securing at least the top six in the country for all of our national competitions, and even a bronze medal at Ghent international regatta in the WU17 quads.
Recently, I have been lucky enough to continue my journey with Hartpury College and I have gained a spot on their elite rowing program. This will see me living on site, training all week long, whilst studying for my A-Levels with other incredible athletes. I hope that my place on their rowing academy will help to broaden my rowing career and assist me on my journey through my upcoming U19 GB trials. The support from Cass & Friends will help contribute towards the cost of this. |
