EVIE AVERY'S BIOGRAPHY
Hi my name is Evie, I started running cross country when I was in primary school. I watched my twin sister Olivia, participate in cross country for a year and then thought, I may aswell have a go myself.
I did ok in races but I didn't find it easy and wasn't a natural runner. I had to work really hard. My running journey really started when I joined Cheltenham Harriers at the age of 9. I started doing sprint training at first but after a few months I decided to move to endurance training, even though I knew I would find it challenging. My hard work and determination finally paid off this year and I have had some of my greatest achievements. This year I got the Cheltenham Harriers U13 club record for the 800m. I also got the record for the 800m at my school, in both the schools track competition and sports day. |
I have also participated in the relays with my amazing team mates; my twin sister Olivia and Scarlett. Where I helped us come 2nd in the Midland Road Relay, 12th in the National Road Relay, 1st female team in the Hereford Jon Ward 5k Relay and 1st in the Midland Cross Country Relays; where I achieved the fastest girl as well.
I also had an amazing year representing Cheltenham Harriers in the YDL, 800m, shot put and Javelin. My greatest achievement to date is when I came 1st U13 girl in the Gloucestershire cross country league second round last week. Thank you so much to CASS & Friends for allowing me to me to be a part of the CASS & Friends family. I am so excited. |
