ELLA'S BIOGRAPHY
Hi, my name is Ella Julin and I am 15 years old. I started athletics in 2016 but have always enjoyed sports since I was very young.
When I was 11, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and after a period of adjusting I was determined to carry on with leading my life to the full. Later that same year, my school took part in a Sports day with other schools and that is when I truly discovered my love for short distance sprints. That same year I started training at Yate & District Athletics Club. I then joined Gloucester Athletics Club in early 2019. During my first season at Glos AC I took part in the U15 Youth Development League where I started to improve my PB for the 100m and 200m. I took part in the District and County Rounds of the English Schools Championships, narrowly missing a place in the South West Finals. |
In the beginning of 2020, I attended a few indoor events in Birmingham, stranding in the semi-final of the Midland Counties Athletics Association 2020 Championships. I achieved 4 consecutive new 60m PB’s in the space of two weeks!
I have decided to focus on the upcoming 2020-2021 winter program and look forward to running at the Indoor Opens and Championships again. I’m very grateful to CASS & Friends for the support! |
