ZOE WALSH'S BIOGRAPHY
|
Hi, my name is Zoe, I’m 13 years old and I am a competitive swimmer. I began swimming lessons with Water Babies when I was just 4 months old and I have loved the water ever since. Aged 9 I joined Worcester Swimming Club.
I participate in lots of other sports including netball, tennis, rounders and athletics. I played netball for Saracens Netball Club and was selected for Worcester County 15u Netball squad at just 13. When I was younger, I also played tennis to a high level, I was a multiple county champion, and I was selected to attend regional camps. This year I decided to give it up to focus on my swimming. |
I have been swimming at county and regional level for 3 years building strongly each year this year at Counties I achieved 16 out of 17 county times and swam in 11 events. My highlight was a bronze medal in 800 metre freestyle. I have also achieved 4 summer regional times. This summer I made my first regional final in the 200 backstroke. My favourite events are the 100 Breaststroke 200 Breaststroke, 200IM and 200 Backstroke.
In the future I hope to represent my country at swimming and be the best swimmer I can be. With the support of CASS & Friends I can push forward to towards my goal.. |
