ROMEO TOBIAS'S BIOGRAPHY

My name is Romeo Tobias, I’m 15 years old, I first started playing tennis at 9 years of age.  I played my first tournament in Oxtalls and came to the realisation that my level was nowhere near where it was supposed to be and I disliked the sport completely, never to play again for another 2 years.

In 2020 during lockdown my Father who is a good Squash and Badmington player, got me back into tennis and started coaching me, getting me fit and developing my footwork and skills, I was hitting a lot better and my ground stokes started coming together.

​Suddenly I had a passion for the sport I loved to play and watch.
In time and with my Parents support I realised I could achieve much more in tennis with hard work and dedication.

Currently I am training at East Gloucester Tennis Club, Oxstalls Tennis Centre and at My main club Painswick Lawn Tennis Centre.
Im working hard week in week out and at the same time I am enjoying the process.

My highlights in my Career to date:

I have represented Gloucestershire at County Cup u14 and u18s.
I am currently ranked number 4 in u16 Gloucestershire County.
County Champion U14 in Singles and Doubles
County Champion u 16 Singles and Doubles.
I have won various titles in competitions around the UK, also in all age group categories.

In the future my goal in tennis is to go to America hopefully be able to play in Divisions and my end goal is to become a professional tennis player.

With the help and support from CASS & Friends it will enable me to make my pathway much easier financially and I am very grateful.
