MILTON XAVIER YAU'S BIOGRAPHY
Hello, my name is Milton Xavier Yau and I am 12 years old. I am a competitive swimmer, currently training at Evesham Swimming Club and City of Coventry Swimming Club. I started my swimming club journey 3 years ago with Evesham being my first ever club, moving onto duo clubbing with City of Coventry Swimming Club in 2024. I became County champion and Regional champion for the first time at the age of 10 in 2023. To date, I am 37 times county champion, 6 times regional champion, 1 time regional open waters champion and winner of the Worcester County Male Best Performance trophy two years in a row (2024, 2025). I am also Evesham Swimming Club’s first ever regional champion.
I have been part of the Worcester County Team for two consecutive years and was part of the ESSA West Midlands Regional Team and their junior captain in 2024. I also reached the English Nationals for the first time at the age of 12 last summer, swimming in the 200m, 400m, 800m freestyle and 200m, 400m Individual Medley. |
I am currently in the West Midlands Regional Distance Development Programme (RDDP).
I aspire to do better each day, keep swimming through my academic years and one day be part of Team GB, representing Great Britain in major events. My long term goal is to be a coach and help other swimmers in the future. I am a PE lead in my school at the moment, which is giving me some experience in supporting sports events organised by my school. I have been very lucky to be surrounded by truly amazing and inspiring coaches and teachers. I thank them for all that they have done and are doing to help me progress. I would like to thank CASS & Friends for all the help and support. |
