BRUCE WARD'S BIOGRAPHY

Hi, my name is Bruce. I’m 16 years old and am a competitive sailor. I first started the sport in 2022 when I was 12, from the first time I touched the water in a boat I was hooked and have continuously sailed more and more ever since.

When I was younger I participated in a few different sports, like hockey, rugby, badminton, and football and played most of them at a club level. However as my sailing journey progressed I decided to give up most of these sports to maximise training time for sailing.

I currently sail for the cadet GB youth team and compete at a high standard in both ranked national and international competitions. I am very lucky to be surrounded by a skilled team of sailors alongside a strong coaching team who push me and each other to perform as well as we can against other countries on the circuit.
