Great day for Aimee in very wet and windy conditions coming in first junior in the Castlecoombe Series. Ten mile time trial in 25 mins and 56 seconds and winning two bottles of wine!!!
Casarena Ferreira was the athlete who inspired us to start our charity CASS & Friends in 2015.
Casarena finished 3rd this year in the triathlon elite super series. She turns 18 at the end of December so after that we can no longer support her. We’d like to wish her all the very best for her future triathlon career and know she’s going to make a huge success of whatever she sets her mind to achieve.
Cas will complete her A ‘Levels this summer and then go onto university to do a degree in sports management. She has her sights set on continuing to compete at the elite level for triathlon and is well on the pathway to qualify for the Olympics in 2024.
In the short term she will be going to another selection weekend next month and if she is successful she will be part of the England Talent Squad – a huge accolade!!
